The Tips
1. Learn your enemies RoA!
When you see an enemy with a red name, it means they attack on sight. Try walking as close as you can to that kind of enemy to see their range of aggression. That way, when you encounter that monster again you can avoid it if needed.
2. Use gold Wisely
A common mistake most players make is to spend all their gold working on leveling up. This is a perfect example of what they should NOT be doing. You need to save up as much gold as you can so you can purchase a mount. Mounts make it much easier to level up in the long run!
3. Invest in Ranged Weapons
I cannot stress enough the importance of ranged weapons. Even for a die-hard melee warrior, a bow can prove very useful. When you are as far as you can go to kill your target, shoot until they are a few feet away. At this point, pull out your sword and attack normally. By using your bow, you saved yourself from getting more heavily damaged.
